Company Overview
Titan Metals & Minerals Ltd (TMML), incorporated in 2001, is the founding company of the Titan Group and serves as its flagship entity for the sourcing, trading, and strategic supply of advanced metals, minerals, alloys, and specialised industrial materials. Since its inception, TMML has focused on supplying critical raw materials to the aerospace, defence, space, energy, automotive, mining, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
The company was founded by Mr. Kotta Giri Kumar, whose vision has been to establish a globally integrated supply chain for strategic materials while promoting technology transfer, industrial collaboration, and indigenous manufacturing in India.
Evolution of the Business
Prior to the incorporation of Titan Metals & Minerals Ltd, the Group operated through Spectrum Special Materials Inc. (SSM Inc.), USA, and Vibgyor Exim International Pvt. Ltd. (VEIPL), Hyderabad, which were primarily engaged in international trading of specialty metals, alloys, minerals, and industrial products.
These businesses laid the foundation for Titan’s global procurement network and established long-term relationships with suppliers, technology providers, and industrial customers across North America, Europe, Eastern Europe, and Asia.
Strategic Materials Supply
Through its international trading operations, the Group has sourced and supplied a broad portfolio of strategic materials, including:
- Titanium and Titanium Alloys
- Molybdenum
- Tungsten
- Niobium
- Vanadium
- Scandium
- Hafnium
- Cobalt
- Nickel
- Ferro Alloys
- Master Alloys
- Super Alloys
- Composite and Ballistic Materials
The company has also supplied speciality engineering materials used in the aerospace, defence, automotive, energy, electronics, and high-performance manufacturing industries.
International Supply Chain Development
The Group has historically developed international sourcing relationships for strategic metals and industrial materials from several countries, including the United States, Japan, Ukraine, Russia, China, and other global markets.
During its early years, Spectrum Special Materials Inc. expanded procurement channels for molybdenum and tungsten by identifying alternative international suppliers to meet the quality requirements of Indian defence and metallurgical industries. The company also developed supply sources for advanced fluoropolymer materials such as PTFE (Teflon®) used in aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications.
Over time, the Group broadened its supplier network through collaborations with internationally recognised producers of speciality metals and advanced engineering materials, strengthening its capability to serve demanding industrial applications.
Ferro Alloys and Industrial Raw Materials
Through Vibgyor Exim International Pvt. Ltd., the Group expanded its operations into the sourcing and supply of ferro alloys and metallurgical raw materials, including:
- Ferro Titanium
- Ferro Molybdenum
- Ferro Niobium
- Ferro Vanadium
- Ferro Chrome

These products have applications in steel production, aerospace components, defence equipment, automotive manufacturing, engineering, and specialty alloy production.
Titanium Minerals Business
The Group has significant experience in the titanium minerals supply chain, including the trading of titanium-bearing minerals and titanium dioxide products.
Historically, the business has supplied rutile-based titanium dioxide to the Indian coatings and pigment industry while facilitating the export of ilmenite sourced from Indian mineral producers to international pigment manufacturers.
This experience forms the foundation of TMML’s proposed expansion into titanium sponge manufacturing and downstream titanium value-addition projects.
